Knives (Apollo 9 Demo Version)
Recorded at 309 Rehearsal Studios by Matt the engineer,
this is a markedly different version of the E.P. track
Knives.
Footage of Apollo 9, the manned mission of March 1969, during which the LM was
trialled
for space-worthiness. The intrepid astronauts, McDivvit, Scott and Schweickart, filmed
themselves on 16mm camera.
Of course, and for copyright reasons, monmon must again affirm that they are in no way affiliated with
NASA

This video was created with footage of the trawler

Erato
Another track from the second E.P.
This video features some young 1960s' swingers, possibly your mum and dad,
smoking cigarettes, sporting classic hair-do's and being crazy and free.
Monmon do not condone tobacco. We like the odd drink though, and enjoy the
occasional hand of brag.
This EP was recorded by Ed at
The
Soundmill, Leeds. Note the studio's very nice Fender Bassman.
From the First E.P. "Repetition with Variation "
No1, King of the Slums
Monmon's first studio recording.
This video features Ms Betty Howard,
who was among the highest paid Burlesque dancers of the 1950s.
Known as "The Limousine Girl" she performed in Cuba
at the
Compoamar and
Marti theaters.
From the Prelinger Archives.
This EP was recorded by Mike Thrussell in his home studio - Hoola Music.
Mike no longer records in Leeds so we can't link you. However his studio was
great - It was a cellar.
Not a damp mouldy cellar with
worm ends sticking out, nor a dry
sandy cellar.
This was, for a day, a monmon cellar and that
means comfort...
Saturday Night in the Swim
From the first EP. This video is a re-edit of a Betty Boop short,
in which Cab Calloway sang Minnie the Moocher.
It was
made by Max Fleischer in 1932, two years before the passing of the
censorship protocols of the 1930 Hays "Motion Picture Production Code".

1955 footage of Operation Cue - Nuclear weapons testing
conducted in the Nevada desert. This footage was produced by
the U.S. Federal Civil Defence Administration - ten
years after the Trinity tests.
